Big day today! Change of clothes. Only when you have been on this kind of trip to you fully appreciate how nice it is t wear clean clothes. We were severely limited in the amount of stuff we could take with us, but watching our pack horses running ahead of us I understood that I still had more things than I needed. One thing I would have given anything for was a mosquito net, as I ate lunch and the mosquitoes ate me. The thing that puzzled us all was that our 3 baquianos always looked immaculate; hair well groomed, clean clothes well pressed, Chechin even wore a crisp white shirt one day. How come we all looked like tramps?
All packed up and ready to go (left) - we fitted all our clothes etc, plus sleeping bags, into the red sacks.
